Cambodia - Simple living; complicated existence

A geopolitical overview of the immediate problems Cambodia is facing due to poverty, lack of education and political corruption. This short touches on the countries big problems from the small angle of the decline in fish numbers. 80% of Cambodians protein intake comes from the fish they catch on a small subsistence level, and yet exterior forces from Vietnam and China are changing the way this country can survive. No one is offering education or an alternative to a future that will change the way these simple farmers can exist. At the moment, the future for these mild mannered Buddhists is set to alter not only the way they sustain themselves, but will threaten their culture and heritage as the four walls of their forests literally crash in around them.
