Originally trained as a classical actor (after abandoning his Mathematics degree), Uriel has moved into writing/directing in 2005. His first short SLAP (35mm, 3min) was chosen by the British Council for their Short Film Selection of 2007. His next short script MY GRANDFATHER was short listed for the Hackney Short Film Fund 2006. His latest short MARINA ON TOP (16mm, 7min) was also chosen by The British Council Film Selection 2011. Most recently two of his shorts finished as semifinalists in the Shore Screenplay competition in 2015&2016.While writing and directing, Uriel continues to work professionally as an actor; His credits include the features ENTEBBE, SIX BULLETS, THE BOURN ULTIMATUM and his TV credits include THE HONOURABLE WOMAN, THE GREAT FIRE, HUNTED, SPOOKS, CRIMINAL JUSTICE II.
